It’s turtle season at Playa Caracol — let’s take care of their home 🐢🌊. Here are some important tips:

  • Do not use lights on the beach at night.
  • Do not touch nests or hatchlings.
  • Never buy turtle eggs.
  • Please avoid driving beach buggies or ATVs in protected nesting areas.
  • Do not light bonfires near protected zones.

Early in the morning, this beautiful initiative led by TortuBanks kicked off, focused on the protection of sea turtles. A morning full of environmental awareness, connection with nature, and a strong commitment to Panama.

Did you know that five of the world’s seven sea turtle species can be found in Panama?
Punta Chame is a key nesting site for the Olive Ridley turtle, and thanks to initiatives like TortuBanks, over 10,000 hatchlings have already been released. Every action matters to protect their life cycle and ensure they continue to return to our shores for generations to come.

This Saturday, November 15th, Radisson Riviera Panama – Playa Caracol became the meeting point for surf enthusiasts as it hosted the 2025 Finals of the Youth Surf League – PLAIA / NSP Cup.

The event brought together the rising talents of Panamanian surfing in a vibrant atmosphere full of action, waves, and great energy, reinforcing Playa Caracol as a key destination for beachfront sports events. Admission was completely free, allowing residents, tourists, and hotel guests to enjoy a memorable day alongside the next generation of surf athletes.
